After the London 2012 Olympics, many wondered what would become of the structures in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London. Four years after the games, one of them has had a new attraction added. Upon her return, Kathleen and I went to try out the ArcelorMittal Orbit‘s “The Slide“. It is apparently the the […]

Located on the South Bank, between the London Dungeon and London Aquarium, Shrek’s Adventure! London is the latest mid-way attraction by Merlin Entertainment. My sister, Julie, wanted to visit the walk through adventure, so I invited Kathleen along to for the ride. There was a point in the mirror maze where I walked up behind […]
Before Kathleen headed back to the USA, I had to check her golf putting skills. We did this at the Junkyard Golf Club, in Shoreditch’s Old Truman Brewery. With three holes to choose from, we plucked for Frank (Putt Up Or Shut Up), which included a slide, clown filled jacuzzis, a treadmill and pool table! Kathleen […]
As well as The Shard, we explored the Sky Garden on Fenchurch Street. With a view 155 metres above the capital, it gave us another chance to marvel at the city in which we dwell, but this time for free. The gardens up there are also magnificent, and are a very tranquil place.
One of the things Kathleen kept mentioning she wanted to do since she came to London this time was The Shard. I booked it for a Saturday evening, beforehand swinging in to have dinner at the Hotel Chocolat restaurant, Rabot 1745. Our journey up to the 72nd floor was timed just before the sunset over […]

The weather was a mixed bag, including heavy rain, hail and sunshine in between. We rode: Colossus Nemesis Inferno (x2) Stealth The Swarm Angry Birds 4D Experience Rush Vortex […]
My first time at The London Dungeon was in January 2014 with Grace, Iwan & Lauren from my life group. I couldn’t wait to show Kathleen one of my favourite London attractions that changes all the time. For this one, I got my longest and dearest friend Christopher involved. It was also a great opportunity […]
Technically not a date, as neither of us had confessed to liking each other, but it was certainly a great thing to do together and we got to know more about one another. Taking place at Chiswick House and Gardens, the Magical Lantern Festival was a festival of light celebrating the Chinese New Year. You […]
It was nearly Easter (okay, several weeks before the egg’d holiday) and Cadbury’s decided to do a pop-up shop in Central London based on the British classic, the Cadbury Creme Egg. Kathleen and I were in the line for 45 minutes before we were let in to buy a Creme Egg Toastie. Two slices of […]
