After our visit to the Creme Egg Cafe, we headed to Islington where Kathleen introduced me to Vietnamese food in the form of pho.
Then it was time for another first for Kathleen; a British comedy gig!
Union Chapel is a great venue that I’ve visited several times when The Invisible Dot has put on evenings there.
Tonight it was James Acaster, John Kearns, Cardinal Burns, Mae Martin as the MC and headliner Paul Foot. It was an eclectic mix, topped off with the surrealism of Foot.
During the intervals, I had to treat Kathleen to another British classic; the Tunnock’s Teacake! Accompanied with a hot chocolate, it was a warm and pleasant evening.
